Review: A Princess of Mars
Civil war captain turned Arizona prospector, John Carter's adventure to the not so dead planet of Mars is one of my all-time favorite science fiction works.
Not only does the book play sport a swashbuckling hero, but the world-building is on par with the greats.
Is it campy? Yes. Is it Old fashioned? Yes. Does it entertain? Yes!
Take an adventure to Mars (called Barsoom by the Martians) and have an absolute blast. If you're looking for some good old-fashioned fun, you won't regret this one.
