Review: Magician: Apprentice

I really liked the first book in the Riftwar Saga. I’m a vibe and mood reader. The vibe early on leads us to believe we’ll be following Pug as he learns to be a magician. The book turns, however, opening a sprawling fantasy world with visitors from another!

Really like Tomas and Dolgan’s interactions. I’m a sucker for dwarves though.

Admittedly, there were a couple of times where I felt like I got bogged down, trying to keep track of all the political system nuances.

Overall, had a great time reading it. Looking forward to continuing the series.
