Review: The Spring Maiden

The Spring Maiden was an interesting YA Fantasy book with a slow burn romantic subplot.

The book follows Penny Barclay, the daughter of the leader of their duchy in the kingdom.

Oh, and she has the magical ability to commune with plant life, a supreme gift for her farmlands!

When Penny discovers a spy among her workers, trying to uncover the rampant plots of rebellion in their duchy, she's thrust into the middle of the growing conflict.

Penny trains with the spy, wanting to become more useful in the coming war, but not everything is as it seems.

This one was fun, with some humor, young love, and political intrigue.
